Now, onto some exciting updates: I’m currently in the waves of illustrating my upcoming middle-grade fiction, “The Adventures of Captain Butter Bottoms and the Octo-Odyssey”. This isn’t just any pirate fantasy adventure—imagine a wacky crew, a captain with a heart as big as his personality, and a journey filled with laughter and surprises.

The central character, Captain Butter Bottoms, is especially dear to me. This loveable Newfoundlander, who can’t help but stumble into the most ridiculous of situations, was inspired by the brilliant mind of my son, Jack. There’s truly something magical about watching your child’s imagination take form on the page, and I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you.

While the book is still a work in progress, it’s shaping up to be an adventure I’m genuinely proud of. I find myself laughing at the characters’ antics, imitating their outlandish voices, and immersing myself in the world we’ve created. I sincerely hope, when the time comes, you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I’m enjoying bringing it to life.
